Having received the update from the League regarding cricket to be played over 7 weeks with a provisional start date of 1 August, the committee met today to decide on the position for LCCC.
We reviewed the requirements and guidelines for all clubs as set out by ECB and the league. The committee decided that the stringent requirements that are required for some cricket over 7 weeks is onerous.
We also considered the risk on all our people. In light of health of safety of all , location of our ground in a high infected area and risk to BAME people, we have decided not to participate in any forms of cricket.
Individuals have the option to play for other clubs should they decide to as no player registration is required.
We had a fun day at our ground on Sunday, 15th September, 2019.
One of the guests was LCFC football player; Hamza Dewan Choudhury.
